The Secret Life of Pots

I have a fantasy of visiting a house I've never been in before, for a special event like a wedding or brunch, and finding beautiful, delicious food served in bowls and platters that were created in my studio. The kitchen shelves are full of handmade mugs and bowls, and all of this work participates in a life which values beauty, abundance, tactility, nourishment.
There is satisfaction in the work of being a potter - to take an inert, malleable material and transform the brown lumps into graceful forms, paying careful attention to timing and detail, the cycle of production repeating and evolving.
